I bought a new lens for my DSLR, and thought I would play around with depth of field. I wanted to have a very shallow depth of field, with the primary object of interest being what is in focus. I am looking forward to trying this technique with a fish. I would like to focus in on the eyes from the front, but have the back 3/4 of the fish be blurry. It just creates something new. The last two are of jars of blackberry jelly the wife and I made yesterday, just looked kind of cool sitting there cooling off. What do you guys think?

that's a big variation in the jam pics.....does your new camera allow you to do bracketing? Just picked up the D80 and have started playing with the bracketing for pic variations and also the B&W capabilities (should be fun learning)....can even layer two pics with this DSLR.......
God Bless & Good Fishing bob
