Default Jack's River

Has anyone fished Jack's River in the Cohutta Wilderness lately? I was thinking about a trip but I am interested in knowing how much the drought has affected the water flow.

Unhappy Can't Be Good

Troutdawg-

I don't have any recent information, and would love to know how the drought has affected the Jacks.

This guage is located somewhere downstream, below the confluence of the Jacks and the Conasauga.

Since it's showing 37 cfs for both streams combined, they've got to be really, really low. I'd bet the trout populations of both streams have taken a big hit the last couple of years, but I haven't heard any recent reports.

Thanks for your response. This drought needs to end soon. I'm afraid it may take years before these stream fully recover.
