Default cumberland river report 11/2/2008

grabbed my stuff--hooked up my gheenoe--and headed for the cumberland river---river was down--caught several rainbows--12 to 14 inches---on a "baby"blackbird #18?--tied by hugh h.--used a split shot to get the fly on the bottom--and a dry fly as an indicator--at about 2pm--caught 2 nice rainbows on the dry fly--the fly was not riding high in the water--it was rather waterlogged and was long past indicating anything---wonder what the trout thought they were eating---subsurface bug orf some sort? Was it wet fly time?there was no surface activity and no hatch that i could see--
