14 year old
Where can I take a 14 year fly fisher to catch a fish? Have been taking him to Medcalf bottoms late in the afternoons with no luck or should I call Hugh

Ya might consider taking him to Gatlinburg's stocked area for kids. I believe he can still fish in the kids area, but any of the area fly shops or even the welcome center could tell you for sure and also let you know what license requirements are
 It should be easier for him to catch stockers and that could in turn help him build confidence and develop technique for the wild streams.Mike PS: That is not to say that it wouldn't be a great idea to get with Hugh, Hugh appears to do a great job of getting newbies schooled and into some fish from what posts I've read over the years...
