Default tent camping near south holston tailwater

Several of us are heading to the South Holston to fish Memorial Day weekend. Is there a place near the South Holston tailwater to tent camp? We teach and can't afford cabins. Thanks for any help. David Moore.

We have camped off of a certain trail that leads to good river access. I am not going to give specifics, but it is on TVA land.

Really. I knew that I have seen people hunting on the TVA land, kind of scary when you are walking through there. However, I did not know that they allowed camping.

Thanks everyone. We'll be staying at the Cherokee Trails Campground. $10.00 per night for tent camping. I hope I get to meet some of you on the river. David Moore.
