You are correct about this bud... I have lost 2 anchors and destroyed 3 props this year trying to push the limits of the releases and drain down times...

However, wading is very unforgiving and things happen very fast once your realize you are in trouble. Remember to think of this in advance when you gear up and think about how you would get out of a situation if you get in to one...! I think it would be good to get one of those Mustang PFDs in case of trouble, but, they are still only rated for a certain amount of weight...

I know I've had my fair share of "close calls". Luckily thats all they were. Its not a fun thought wondering how you're gonna get outta there with rising water at your elbows.

Guys on a related topic be aware of the changes in the shifting bottom structure with the recent scouring. I saw 2 big trees in a new spot just above the dismal bluff area in the lower clinch.They where barely under the surface and in low water could've been very dangerous.They are on the right going upstream before reaching the power line. any body know of dangerous sections on the upper area? i haven't drited it lately.

Interesting...? I saw TVA Police Boat on the Lower End of the Clinch this morning...
