Default Porters Sediment Runoff

Has anyone heard of reports about the sediment runoff in the Porter creek area? We talked to a park ranger and he told us about the sediment runoff and how it has killed some darters and other aquatic creatures, but he thought the trout were alright. My dad and I went on a backpacking/fishing trip this past memorial day weekend and we didn't see or catch one fish which is very unusual.

I know when I was there on Saturday after I left Troutfest, the lower portion of the LP was dirty. I kept on going up to the split and Middle Prong was clear and Porters was still dirty. I don't know if its point source or just generally muddy, but something was definitely different.

I fished porter creek last Tuesday, I also thought it was a little off color. The fishing was not as good as it was in other places in the park.
