My buddy that I was fishing with builds them. It's not mine. It's one he just finished and was fishing it to "break it in". He gave it to me so I could make a few casts. I took it and wouldn't let him have it back until we were done.

I don't know if that'll work or not. I fished between Metcalf and Elkmont last night, and couldn't get them interested in any yellow fly, larger or small. Frustrating. I've been fishing the west prong and the yellow sallies are noticably smaller than the yellow sallies on the east prong. But, so are the fish.

That's interesting. I was thinking the fly I was using was actually too small. I had been fishing between Metcalf and Elkmont. It really looked like they were around a #12. When I was on Upper Deep Creek on Sunday, the YS looked to be about a #16 (they were noticeably smaller). I think I will tie up some larger and smaller Yellow xCaddis and give it try again this weekend.
