I am taking vacation next week and plan to go to both rivers. I have never been and would appreciate any help that I can get about where to go and what to throw. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, |

I would suggest stopping by the South Holston Fly Shop to speak with the owner Rod Champion or his son Matt. They'll have the most current information about what's happening on the river and the generation schedule. Best of Luck!

If you want accurate info stop and talk with Eddie Wyatt, he is the only source IMO of good intel for that area. Pray it doesn't rain another drop, or be prepared to not wade much next week.

I went last weekend to the South Holston. Too much rain and they generated most of the time. Did see a few sulphurs and caught a couple on a sulfur emerger. I was fishing about a mile below the bridge at Emmett.
