A few months back I waded out to my favorite run on the Hiwassee which involves wading thru a few deep spots to get there. When I hooked up my first fish and got him in the net I noticed him resting on top of my new Blackberry. I took it apart and let it dry out for a couple days and to my surprise it worked and has worked fine ever since!

I left my Blackberry in my car I love that thing way too much, and I'm all about solitude when fishing.

Now you're making my mouth water. My great grandma used to make her own blackberry preserves that were absolutely fantastic. When she passed, everyone went straight into the basement to get first picks. Stuff is worth it's weight in gold

What are you doing up posting at 4:30 in the morning?

I made blackberry jelly for the first time last year, and it wasn't as hard as I thought. However, people started coming out of the woodwork wanting some. This year I am going to freeze some berries to make homemade fried pies with them....

Travis,
Take the screws out that are holding the body together. There should just be about 8 screws or so...

Open the camera up as much as it will allow you.

Then, take some rubbing alcohol on qtips and wipe things off that look wet or corroded.

I have dumped my camera several times and this seems to do the trick.

Leave it open for another day or so. Make sure you get the batteries out asap too...

Default 19-20" Brown!

Keep after them, if you landed them all it would eventually get boring! I fume over losing nice fish too though. Nice post, I need to get to the Caney one day during the week!
Thanks,
John

Trey, Shawn... Trey. Haha. But it's sitting in a bag of rice as we speak.

Well, it was my first nice fish that I knew I lost. I'm sure I've stung bigger, but never saw them. I actually knew how big this one was, so that's why it was so disheartening. The fish I brought to hand is almost identical to David Knapp's (Plateau Angler).
