Just a quick report. The redfish are starting to tail on high tides. Through the weekend the tide ought to be good for it if its not too windy. The pic is my first redfish caught on a fly I had made. It was a dark green epoxy spoon fly that I made. I actually caught this one and a small one on the same spoonfly.

Dang, it was too stormy the weekend I was there and I had to call off my trip. I want to come down and catch some Cobia on the fly. Are they in yet?

There may be a couple of late ones around, but for the most part I think the cobia run is done in the Broad River.

Golfballs.
You must have had the same weekend we had. Big storms coming from offshore pounded us that weekend. We had a business trip so we drove down early Sat only to sit around. Dodged storms Sunday and gave up and drove home Sunday after a crappy morning out. Two weeks earlier I had caught them pretty good one morning. I think the Cobia started coming in on the new moon earlier in the month. I am headed back in July. Hot, but maybe in the early morning? Sorry you got blown out. Beaufort is a special place.

High tide up in the grass? Any other flies catch fish?
