Default Elkmont 4th morning

Fished Elkmont in the morning before the river rat hatch started and had an excellent time with 10 or 12 fish, including one 18'' brown that fell for an ant pattern.

Nicely done, NH. Amazing that a trout that big will fall for an ant. No accounting for taste.

People would be suprised @the size of fish that will rise to a dry fly.I found this fish and waited made a careful approach and the fish took on the first drift.I used to fish like the woods were on fire and try to catch every fish in the river. Now I really slow down and do more hunting. Now this is not for everyone but I enjoy the game.To each his or her own.
Thanks for the reply,No Hackle
