Default South Holston

Seeing this weekend's weather forecast made me wish I could go back out to the Soho. Spent all of last weekend on the river and had a great time. Of course the generation has been full bore lately. But if you get a chance, there was still quite a few Sulpher's coming-off in the late afternoon, although the bugs seem to be getting smaller late in the season. One afternoon landed two Nice 15" Brown's on a sulpher spinner pattern. All the rest of time we fished partridge and yellow and the fish were hungry. We floated both days and landed probably 30 fish between two anglers.

Nice brown. That is a special river.

I prefer to fish it in the early fall after the sulfur hatch is over. The crowds are gone, and the fish are eager to eat a #20 stripper midge bounced along the bottom.

Thanks....definitely one of my favorite rivers. The boat traffic wasn't heavy at all last weekend...of course it was 108 degrees, also.

Nice pics. The Photoshop job on the second one needs a little work though.
