Caught somewhere around twenty fish last week on the s. holston. most on biot body blue wing nymphs (a lot of people swear by split case sulphurs right now too). A few were in the 15-18" range. Spent two days on the watuaga near the end of last week and caught above average size fish throwing wooly buggers. Didn't catch a whole lot, but fishing was consistend and exciting knowing any minute the rod may get jerked out of your hand. So yea, fishing's been good and have fun! tie up some olive buggers, bh ptails, olive nymphs, split case nymphs, small midges, and if you're not too purist, some san juans. you'll be all over some fish.
