That is a monster, I fished the Manistee in June and saw some huge browns, it certainly has the potential for fish like that. what a catch.

I thought I saw some large browns in that river in June 08. That fish would have eaten most of them! I would bet that is a lake run brown in to spawn.
Wish he'd have caught in on a big fathead or some other huge streamer. Such is life. |

I suspected it wasn't even "in" the river, but rather in the lake at the mouth of the river. However, I saw the guide's photos, and they do seem to confirm it was up in the river.

I question whether it could pull much harder than a 15-20 lb redfish. Those suckers will absolutely tow your boat!
