Default South Holston Report Please

I would like a few hours on the South Holston Friday morning on my way to West Virginia, has any one been up there lately? And how long does it take the weir pool to fill with one generator? Thanks in advance.

Default Fishing the South Holston

Brian,
I was up there yesterday and had a pretty good day. I fished the section between the 2nd and 3rd power lines below the Weir Grates and the fly that worked was the Stripper Midge. The fly that worked on the lower section of the river was a small BHPTN.
It usually takes about 20minutes for the water to fill up the Weir Pool after it leaves the dam. If it is a full generation run it may take less time.
Good luck.
Hugh
