Default Anthony Creek funny story

I fished some in Anthony Creek Friday which was running fairly full.
As I walked along the trail I started noticing stuffed animals ( frog, salamander, turtle, dragonfly) placed on rocks and logs. I realized I had
walked into a setup for a park service field trip for a bus load of school children. My fishing buddy caught one fish near the horse camp, and I saw three deer.

Hilarious. Fortunately for you anglers there were no bears.

Did you consider tying on the dragonfly?

Thats a great idea! My 4 year old son might not be too impressed though since he and I hike a lot and he has seen a lot of the animals in the flesh J. In August we were camping at Cades Cove and took the little .5 mile pine oak nature trail behind the campground one morning. Once we got to the top of the ridge there was a bear there in the trail and he looked at us and we looked at him. I put Jack up on my shoulders and picked up a rock. Well Jack had one of those fake wooden guns with him from bass pro shop and once I put him on my shoulders he said “I’ll get it Daddy”. He cocked the gun and fired it at the bear. Apparently the clicking sound scared the bear cause he took off running down the ridge. I had to thank him for his fine marksmanship…

You need to change Jack's name to Davy.

I don't know if I would have been so quick to figure that one out!
