Didn't measure him because 1) I don't carry a tape and 2) didn't want to stress him.
I'm guessing this Idaho bull trout went about 27" - landed on a 2wt and 5X tippet.

Not from around these parts but a trout none the less. Biggest I have a picture of. Had two bigger by a few inches in Mosquito Lagoon on the same day. This one was 31" and 9.5#'s She had just layed her eggs and belly was saggy not full probably 1# bigger a few days before I caught her. Swam away to hopefully pass her genetics on some more.
