Default Skunk off!

Fished Middle Prong today. After 2 days of little or no fish I thought maybe a winter of no fishing had erased my trout fishing ability. The water was fast and I looked for a pool. Finally found one and a hatch was coming off. The bugs would flutter on the surface and the trout would jump on them, no sipping, jump. It was hard to believe that many trout could be in a small pool. After catching 3 and missing 2, I sat and watched for awhile. Spring has come to the mountains.

Not long after, the thunderclouds arrived, and a chicken-drowner hit. Yep, it's spring!

Barbara, Congrats on the break-through. And good to see you posting again after a long time off.

That must have been a sight to behold!

Glad you had a good day!! I don't know why but, even though I'm looking at a fishing thread, the skunks have really been on the move around home even in daylight, so for that reason I thought this was gonna be an educational thread. I jumped on it to see if there was another remedy other than tomato juice.

This is Skunk breeding time, or "Rut" if you prefer, they will be everywhere for awhile. After the breeding season the next "Skunktastic" time will be prior to the may/june bug hatch when the skunks come into your yard and dig up and eat the grubs.
