Default Father & Son - Easter Weekend

This was the second consecutive Easter weekend we have spent in the Smokies. I sure hope it continues for years to come!

Last year we were skunked...not this year!

My young son actually enjoys hiking and waterfalls as much as fishing, which is absolutely fine with me.

The highlight of the trip was a trip to the Albright Grove. I'm 43 and I've never seen a virgin stand of timber on the east coast....and the fishing up there was pretty good too!

I caught brookies in two different streams up there and I can certainly understand why Bobby Kilby gives one of the streams an "A" rating. I fished the area right at the crossing and nearly hit double digits on top with an EHC.

Maybe it was our lucky hats!

We probably put in about 15 miles in three days and he has already started planning our next trip!

Chris
