Default My first turkey!

Well, I mentioned that last weekend I did some turkey hunting on my Dad's new farm up in Eastern Kentucky (Hillsboro area)... Saw about a bizillion birds and nailed this nice tom my first morning out. What a thrill! I'm hooked for life! My buddy Benny did the calling, and that man can talk to those birds. He's a turkey ninja! After I shot my bird, he called 4 other toms straight back to us 3 times in a row in about an hour before he ended up getting one himself! We laid down two birds from the same spot before 8:00!

p.s. that 12 gauge that I'm using belongs to my Dad and was given to him when he was just a boy... really a great experience all around.
I got no style, I'm strictly roots.

That's a pretty bird. Congratulations. It sure is a thing to see when they come in strutting. You can just about see your heart beating through the camo it's beating so hard.

Nice job Carlito. My back yard is full of them. Had one big guy a couple feet fro the front door last week. I'm thinking about adding another hobby to my list.
