he's a handfull. packed him up and down (had to poop) cosby creek yesterday. got my wild trout but soaked my wallet and phone. my camera was at home. he was mad i didn't bring his fly rod , the one i made him.

My first catfish on the fly rod. I have been fishing that pond by my parents for 20 years and I have never caught any catfish. One big nasty streamer and a strong 8 weight and I got one. It only took me 30 minutes to get it in, and it weighed just over 12 pounds. Sorry for the poor picture, my brother-in-law took it. The good news was we were out there so I could show him some things about fly fishing, and he caught his first 2 fish on his 1st fly fishing outing, both large mouth. He's now hooked.
