I fished Elkmont from 2pm-6pm today. The water was very low, but I managed to catch about 25 fish. I was on my knees or sitting down most of the time to stay hidden, but it helped keep me cool. I got 5 browns in all and a buch of rainbows. Here are pics of the better fish and couple smaller ones.

Yes the one bow has a fly in it's tail............it took the first fly and hooked its tail right as I got it in when it was rolling.

Very nice! Congrats!
Did you happen to get the water temps where you were fishing?

No. I meant to, but I started catching fish pretty early and forgot about it, but I would guess it around 65. It definitely did not feel cold.

Congrats on a fine mess of fish. That brown has some shoulders on it!! Care to share the fly of the day?

Thank you. I threw every yellow nymph I have, and they all caught fish about the same, but nothing else seemed to work for me. I tie tellico nymphs on a TMC2457 without a wingcase, and they did well and have been doing well for a couple months now.

I fished through the campground. I stopped at the bridge near the Jakes Creek and LR trailhead.
