This is the first board i've ever joined. You guys are very helpful to all members . I live about 15 minutes from nantahala,snowbird and santeetlah creeks . Thanks for what I've already learned from your posts.

Snowbird Fly--A hearty welcome, and I hope you appreciate the fact that you are dwelling in a fisherman's backside of heaven. As much as I love the Park, if I had to pick one stream in N. C. to catch a mess of trout in a hurry, it would be the lower Nantahala (with the water on!). Big Snowbird has given me countless days filled with joy, and Santeetlah once did (it is but a pale shadow of its former glory, thanks to a variety of factors, not the lest of which is otters). Incidentally, the fellow on the cover of my book, Marty Maxwell, lives in Robbinsville, and he's a walking encyclopedia of knowledge on fishing in Graham County.

Jim have read many of your articles and stories in N C Wildlife Magazine. Hope to get your book soon.I know Marty He doesn't fish much anymore and he is a great guy. Your spot on about the mentioned streams. I fish the Nantahala mainly with the water off I can' get the hang of fishing such big water. Thanks
