Default Bradley Fork and Oconaluftee

Fished them both a bit. Fished about 2-3 hours total and caught about 5 fish and got three to hand. Even caught a brown. Used a Doc's Cork (Orange) and got a good amount of rises. Tried yellow, but it didn't work as well for me. Full report with pics is on my blog linked in my signature.

BRF, enjoyed your report & pics on your blog. Though not nearly as impressive as the pigs, still some nice looking fish. Thanks for sharing.

No problem, JF Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the cabin as it was an origional cabin built near Deep Creek and moved. It was interesting to see the size of the bedroom downstairs (tiny) and the kitchen in a seperate room. Just wish I could have gone upstairs. Didn't have nearly enough time to do all that I wanted. Next trip will be just me. I didn't have nearly enough time to fish, but did enjoy the time with my wife.

Both of those are some of my favorite streams. I haven't made it to either in probably 5 years. It's tough deciding on a place to go when you live 5 hours away and only get to make a couple of trout trips a year. That is why I like coming on this board and seeing everyone's reports and yours was a great one.

Thanks, GM. I wish I could write better. I need to spend more time on these blog posts and make them longer and in more detail. I haven't been able to make it up as much as I want this year, but the few times I have, I've had a blast!

Glad you had a nice trip, I'm headed that way in a couple weeks. 7 or 8 of us are riding our bikes up to do a little sight seeing. I have some business in Cherokee, and I'm hoping to catch up with some online frinds that weekend of the 16-17 at Smokemont Probably won't do much fishing, just a short trip to take care of some business.

Sounds like fun. Cherokee was pack by the casino. Lots of construction. Be careful where you pull off. It can be difficult to get back in traffic if you pull off in the wrong spot.
