Default Anyone ever fished the creek in Wears Valley?

Just was wondering if anyone has ever fished the creek that runs along the road just before you enter Wears Valley on 321. I have stopped right at the pull off where the cascades are located , and have seen a couple of cars pulled off in that area and always wondered what they were fishing for. Is that water to warm for trout? Also was wondering where that particular creek originates from?

shawnyb32, I believe it to be Cove Creek. It is feed by a bunch of small streams, many un-named, the western most ones being near Hendrick Chapel. I haven't found anything that says it is stocked seasonally, but that could be the case. It's main draw lower down is its whitewater section.

Smile Paddled it, but never fished it

Give it a shot. I know a few streams that are within 2 miles of Gatlinburg that I never hear of anyone fishing and they are great streams. It amazing what one can easily overlook
