Default elk river report 1-30-11

me and a buddy floated from ferris creek to dam ford rd. weather was nice all day. fishing was alittle slow at first but then picked up. over all i caught about 20 trout and one small mouth. largest trout was a 16 in bow. all others where 12 inches or less. my friend caught about 5 trout.

can't wait for more nice weather to go again.

Went to Ferris for about last 1.5 hours of fishing. Caught three rainbows, one real nice one. Caught one on Black and Pearl Wooly, one on a 20 Midge and one on a Caddis nymph in size 10 (yes 10). It was a Colorado fly that I thought I would try and see if they woudl eat and one gobbled it first cast then couldn't get another bite.

Ferris had been hit pretty hard already I could tell so I didn't expect much more. C'mon spring.
