thanks for the advice guys, i'll be hitting it again monday or tuesday; i'll try the sugarlands and greenbriar areas as you all suggested and see if i can start working on honing my abilities for these fish. anyone who doesn't mind buddy fishing with a learner, drop me a line if you're available to fish next week anytime and we'll get out on the water and make a new friend!

Wizard,
While you were out fishing, I was sitting in a conference room in an all day meetings (pretty typical work day for me).

Glad you had fun. Like you said, fishing and catching are two different things. Once in a while, the two meet and that makes for a more exciting day but not necessarily a better day.
