Brookies and 13yr old Daughter 1st

We hvae been up here all weekand I have been able to fish more than usual thanks to my 13 yr old daughter. a month ago she picked up a fly rod and we started yard casting. If some help fram a young friend "Bryson" she can even double haul. I explained to her that small stream fishing is different and a little tough.

I decided to try some for some brookies next.









unfortanty she didn't catch any Brookies that day, so today we headed back up to do some serious fishing, she stood with me and rock hopped for 3 hours, she had three brookies on but didn't any to hand. Then she caught one rainbow. I would post the picture, but I was informed her hair didn't look good enough. Oh well I have to remember she is still a teenage girl. I did manage to bring 5 brookies and one rainbow. Greenweenes have been the ticket right now.

Now that gaintfish is "grown up" and in college, I now have a new fishing buddie, as long as I can deal with the "oh we can't fish there, my hair is messy and someone will see me in these big clunky boots".

Thanks for the report Vern looks like you have a great new partner to fish with! Hope to see a lot more reports I still remember reading all the ones you had with Giantfish several years back.
