Default Let's hear it for the ol' Sow Bug

I am still playing around with a couple different ways to tie a sow bug. i like the way john Thruman should me, many years ago and it works ok but I feel like I'm lacking something. If you all would please feel free to share your sow bug recipe.

Mine is

2457 tempo hook size 16-20
black or tan thread
dark grey or natural dubbing,
Turkey feather for the tail and back.

I base the hook with lead wirem then smash it down with my hemostats, tie in the tail, wrap with dubbing, pull the rest of the tail over the back and add super glue to the top of the fly.

That's how I was told to tie, so you all feel free to share yours.

Thanks
Rod

A feller showed me this one a while back. I never tried the pattern, but thought it looked pretty good.
