Crooked Creek in Va

Anyone have any experince with the Crooked Creek additional pay area in Virginia. Bringing a newbe flyfisherman with me next weekend and thought this may be a good area for learning? I do see they have a wild section also with possible brook trout fishery, is this true and easy to acsess.
