Default Bob Marshall Wilderness

Have a trip planned for July to kayak the South Fork of the Flathead River in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Any tips would be appreciated.

Default The Bob

I fished it in 2007 by taking a horse upstream. Went in about 17-20 miles. The fishing was EXCELLENT for 16-19 in cutthroats on hopper patterns. Take some "Fat Alberts". From about 10 miles and closer to the take out the fishing quality really drops off. We were there in August and it was during the fires and the water was warm, so you may have better success closer to the takeout. At the takeout, you have to hike another 3 miles to the parking area, if you are floating out. Hope this helps

Great Pics of a pristine wilderness.

I really want to do this sometime.

Can you give an idea of cost to get your stuff packed in?

Thanks again for sharing, your pics even convinced my wife she wants to go
