I just saw this on another board and confirmed in with the Naples News that Jose Wejebe was killed in plane crash in Florida Friday. I really enjoyed watching his "Spanish Fly".

Man, that is unbelievable...that is a great show and he was entertaining to watch. Sad to loose such an influential personality in the world of saltwater. I know for me, he was one of those that got me into wanting to fish the salt.

Very sad; he seemed like he was just a regular guy who liked to flyfish, unpretentious, informative and entertaining.

Tragic news, and I was stunned when I heard about this. The fly-fishing community lost a good one Friday.

One of the few fishing shows that I enjoyed watching. Huge loss to fly fishing.

What a loss. He really seemed like a good guy. Seemed very humble and ready to share what he knew. I think I remember Flip Pallett giving him his first loan to buy a boat to start guiding. Real shame.

I really hate to hear this. He had the life dreams are made of. Him and flip pallot are the entire reasons I wanted to fish saltwater. Be it with a fly rod or conventional tackle. The fishing community has lost a true great.

Definitely a sad loss to the fly fishing community. I've enjoyed his shows for many years and hate this has happened. RIP
