Trout Tourney?
Anyone doing this? http://knoxnews.com/news/2008/mar/09...ts-1000-trout/
3-9 lb range? I'm thinking of trying this out!

I won't be able to make it in for this. Its during finals week, but I'd like to see a fly fishing tourney on a tailwater in tennessee. I know there is a tourney on the Davidson River in NC. It's either already happened or is happening later this month.

Most of the fishermen participating in the "trout tourney" are chunking worms and corn. I hope we get a good rain afterward to wash all the baitcups and beercans on down river.
There are some nice size stockers left if your looking for some easy fishing. I caught about 10 of these sickly looking fish in some very warm water last year about 2 weeks after the TT, on my lunch break.

That sickly looking rainbow bears a close resemblance to some trout I saw in my grocer's cooler last week....my son caught one of those one summer up there and wanted to cleans it....even the insides bear little similarity to their wild cousins....it is amazing.
