I am thinking of retiring near Asheville - make a circle with Waynesville - Hendersonville - Black Mtn - Weaverville. I am more of a Smallie freak than a Trouter. In the area described above, how is the Smallie fishing and what waters would I want to check out? I'm not looking for honey holes, just names of rivers and creeks that are a good place to start exploring and looking for a home. Many thanks.
If anyone is coming to Ohio, I'd be glad to share my experiences with you - Smallies, Browns, and Steelies.

Rick,
The Pigeon River inside the Tennessee border and the French Broad are the only two I can think of. Byron
