Default Small Mouth at Nancy's Ferry (Holston River)

I talked to a guy over there the other day and he said that in the summer time the trout go upstream and it is pretty much smallies in there when it's warmer. Is this true or do the trout stick around?

I'd say true for the biggest majority of trout. However, an occasional trout will turn up from time to time.

Ok thanks man. I was just wondering where you would go that time of year when those trout do leave the area, there is limited parking on that river. Also do you know anything about fishing for those hybrid fish in there. That seems like it would be alot of fun especially with a flyrod.

Thanks again,

Andy

If there are Hybrids and Smallies in there my guess woudl be the trout don't leave by choice it is jus tto avoid being a snack! They are like bass candy.
