I'm not sure about that area, I haven't heard of it. The spawners my friend was catching wasn't there I'm sure. They weren't fishing the watauga that day. But I wouldn't mind stumbling across some spawning bows in the watauga and give my reel a test.

Watauga around Boone area fishing great. Big trout.
