Buckeyetrouter, I will definitely post picts of the flies.
Most of the smallie flies I use are something I created using attributes from other successful patterns. For instance, a John Barr pattern called the "meat whistle", I bend my own hooks to about 60 deg. and use barred zonker strips and palmer the body using rabbit. I like to use lots more weight and plenty of rubber legs. Kind of a jig-n-pig type of pattern. ![]() I do tie clousers and use some store bought patterns everyonce in a while. There are some good books available with lots of good patterns in them. I look forward to trying out the patterns from this swap on more of these gals! ![]() |

Troutman-
Count me in for an Olive Strymph. It looks and sounds like a good pattern that will give me a good challenge to tie. I can't wait to try some of these other flies. Thanks, Ben |

Flying Trout, what did you decide to tie? I will post it on the list. |

I do not know the official name of it and I have my own variation. The best I can describe it is a rabbit strip streamer.

I was a little worried that you might not find them. We were leaving to go out of town and I hurried down on Friday morning to find your door locked.
It was nice to know that the pharmacy is open to your office, and I slipped them over there. Let me know when they are all in and I will stop by and pick mine up. Thanks again for being the flymeister! -Ben |

Yep, Its a wonder I can find anything on the desk with all this paperwork in the way! I took the day off and took the family camping down at Indian Boundary for the weekend.
