In all honesty, I don't live too far from the state hospital...if you know a little about Louisiana history, it's the same hospital Gov. Earl Long was comitted to briefly, during his last term in office. His wife was behind it, and ol' Uncle Earl, still exercising the powers of the office, fired the director of the hospital and appointed one of his pals, who immediately signed release papers.

Another interesting story.....but I'm afraid my LA History is limited to that old diddy by Jerry Reed "Amos Moses."....well actually now that I think about it, there was a song, "Battle of New Orleans" by Johnny Horton and it's actually historically accurate...
