Default White Bass and Crappie

Hey guys,
I took the day Friday and also Saturday for a little R&R. Went with one of my old friends I grew up with Friday to Buggs Island for the Crappie. They are still hard to find and we ended up catching them 12 foot deep on brush. Slow day as it took us 3 hours to find them but we ended up with a nice catch by supper time.
Saturday I headed over by myself for the river to try the White Bass. Word has been they are running some, it's been about 5 years since we had a good run, numbers have suffered and slots and limits have been adjusted so I was really glad to hear they are running again. I tried streamers and shad darts and to tell the truth they all worked well, caught some gorgeous whities, about 1 to 1.5 pounds. Of course I released them, but it was good to see some success. That's some of the funnest fishing I have ever ran up on, those White Bass fight so well and bite readily. Anyhow, we had a couple of good days and really enjoyed being out there--Tight Lines--Bran
