Default Warm Water Report 4-22-08

Caught these fish today, and also brought along a first time fly fisherman. Caught trout, smallmouth, and carp all in the same stretch of water. Had a good 4 or 5 hours fishing.

Troutman,
I think I saw you pull up in your truck and watch awhile from the bank, well I think it might have been you. You were a pretty good ways off.

I did see several people out today. I did not know it was you. I will be going again tomorrow evening. Having to work during all this beautiful weather is killing me! The bait fishermen have been posting a lot about this river lately so you will see a lot more pressure. One guy said he caught 20+ bass many over 5lbs! I believe he learned to guestimate weights from Roland Martin!
And of course he did not have picture proof.
Matt, I did want to add that it was not me you saw. I was out for a few minutes today and saw 2 guys downriver of the bridge, and quite a few this morning on downriver as I was driving to work. I hope you kept the trout, they will be dead a couple of weeks. They are from the trout rodeo.

Good to see some great looking fish in that river. The nice thing is that I work about 500 feet from the bridge. Bad thing is that I have to work.
I too have seen a lot of people fishing their during the week. Most of them don't venture far from the public parking lot.
I may have to take a long lunch sometime soon.

Mmorgan135-What fly were you using that day if you don't mind me asking.
Actually if you send me an email maybe I could join you some day to go fishing?

After Tuesday I am free to fish in the mornings if you would like to go sometime. I'm pretty sure that I'll be around this weekend to go somewhere. Let me know what you have planned the rest of the week. Look forward to going.
