I've heard too that the landowners were not kind but I've never had a problem. I do not get out of the river and walk on their lawns and try to stay mid stream or the other side from their houses. I think if you were flipping cigarette butts on their lawn or using their trees as a port-o-let, they would frown upon it or if you used their yard as a pathway they would probably tell you to leave. However, being in mid-stream, I've never had a problem. I always wave to them when they're out but mostly just try my best to blend into the scenery and more or less be invisible. That's the way I fish anywhere, respect the land, respect the water, respect the fish and just see it as an opportunity to enjoy what my creator has created.
