Default big buffalo on fly

Last weekend my dad, brother, and myself went to the nearby river to do some carp fishing in the kayaks. The day didn't start off to well, the water was a mere 64 degrees, 10 degrees from 2 weeks ago, it was also extremely cloudy. The carp and buffalo were out of the back areas and out roaming the shores of the main channel. I set up right off the bank and a little while later I looked out and saw a huge fish tailing in about 4 ft of water. I made a cast right in front of it head and let the fly sink. The fish went over my fly and I strip struck and the fish exploded on the surface and took off. It fought hard for about 45 min and even made an amazing jump, completely dislodging itself from the water.
It ended up being a 18 lb 33 in small mouth buffalo.
My dad caught a nice golden 7 lb common carp.
My brother caught a deformed drum that weighed around 9 lb. It looked like it had been swimming on its side on a slab of concrete in about 6 in of water. It looked tough.
All in all it was a great day on the water.

here's a picture of the buffalo

Awesome catch Tater! Buffalo are some great fighting fish. Bet your arm was tired after that.
