Man I just gotta go float with you sometime! I'd bet it put a nice bend in the glass! If you woulda had your fly box about a month ago and would have been in the boat....We, my dear friend, would have had a long day! We were sitting in a run on the Watuaga with over 50 carp (unknown species) all around the 22 to 24" mark! We tried throwing at them but they were in spawn and we didn't have the flies.
I did learn a thing or two though....You can't fish any section on the Watauga while these guys are spawning....There were clear eggs absolutely everywhere, including in a trouts belly! I also didn't happen to have any egg patterns! They were crammed full of eggs! When and where do you want to go? What are you doing Friday night....We are thinking about a night float on the South Holston during no generation! Ripping streamers from the bank? Oh yea, can we say pig? Plans haven't changed yet but we may possibly go Friday, day! I guess as it gets closer I'll have a better idea! Better on size this month, just the wrong species!    ~Brett

I know I've already posted but I got a new fish of the month! 19" Brown caught out of Tellico River on a #12 beadhead Prince Nymph. Woo Hoo!!
