Default Greenbriar

Took some folks up to Greenbriar today to do some some fishing. The water around the rnager station up to where ramsey comes in was REAlly low. I was really quite suprised. But once you make to turn to go towards the trailhead of Ramsey the plunge pools were in great shape. We caught or missed fish from every hole it seemed. Even caught a couple of good ones. One was about 12 and the other about 10 inches, and more 4 and 5 inchers than you could shake a stick at. The more I fish Greenbriar the more I seem to like it. Now if only it had a decent population of browns...

2weight,

I haven't seen any reports in a long time from your neck of the woods (Tellico, Bald, North). What's happening down that way?

To tell you the truth I haven't fished tellico in a little while. I was going to hit the North yesterday morning, but I got a last minute call and ended up guiding instead. I'm dying to get up there though.. I may drive up and check it out after church today. I wont be able to fish because I'll have my 8 month old son with me, but maybe I can go talk to some anglers and see how its going. I'll report what I find out and see.

I fished up there Friday in the vicinity of the picnic area (convenient for wife and step-daughter). I had a blast - yellow sallies brought in a bunch of small ( 6 - 7 inches) rainbows.

I'll have to take that turn and try those pools you're talking about.

For my third time fly fishing - I was pleased.
