Last year I made a 4' 9" 4wt. bamboo rod for my 4 year old daughter. She caught her first trout standing knee deep at Metcalf Bottoms using it.

Caught on Salmon Fly Nymph dead drifted from boat over cobble bottom. About 10' behind a big rock 3-4 feet from the shoreline.
By the way, I'm the goofey looking one holding the fish.

Only able to get out once this month so far, so here is my entry. 13" bow caught on a size 20 stripper midge.

I am finally adding a some trout to my total. I made a trip over from Memphis in mid July. Spent one afternoon in the Smokys and a whole day on a float trip on the Clinch. I landed about 15 on Lynn's Camp Prong and slayed them on the Clinch. We were somewhere north of 50 landed between two of us. This picture is from Lynn's Camp Prong. Hope to make it back in August.
