Cuaught My First Trout

on a fly that I tied today. It was a #16 black zebra midge. I caught a brown on it.

Well, I've caught trout when I used to spin cast, but I've only caught a few trout fly fishing, but that was my first on a fly that I had tied myself.

Dang that's a great feeling ain't it,plus a trout caught on your own fly is bigger than the same size trout caught on a fly some stranger tied.Its even better when the fly is tied with fur or feathers you got from the wild and not a store.Way to go dude!

Congratulations! The feeling of catching fish on flies you tie never goes away. The 100th one is just as fun as the first one.

Man, I couldn't even catch one on a BHPT above Elkmont the other day...Not one. I think I'm going to need some guidance in the Smokey's. Rivers I have no problem with, but the Smokey's are kicking my butt and it ain't cheap for me to come up from Nashville!
