Default townsend

i am going to have a family camping trip aug. 1 in the koa campground in townsend. i am going over old post looking for tips to fishing closer to town. what is the stocked fishing like and where do you do it. i can't yet get the little ones interested in crawling thru the rocks.

There are some picnic tables and pull offs near the far end of town going toward Maryville. Pull over on the side of the road and either wade in, or cast from the bank. Also, one of the bridges has a sign that a compground will let you fish if you oay them a few bucks. I think one of the churches has a stretch on the river.
