Here in C-bus, the ice is still covering some of the water. I went to a pond Saturday because I needed to fish bad. The Steelhead streams are still blown out. I had to cast over some ice to get to the open water, but I did catch 3 nice 'Gills. They had a beautiful copper sheen to them. Man it felt good!!!!!!!

I have many times called the pumpkinseeds / green sunfish warm water brookies.
They are eager to take a fly, they are beautifully colored, they are scrappy fighters when hooked and are readily accessible to most fishermen. The perfect fish as far as I'm concerned. I just love them. Jeff |

Love catchin those guys off my kayak, they fight hard and love taking off the surface, whats not to love! They eat pretty good too!
