Default Tying Flies Using Tuffleye Instead Of Epoxy

I am pretty happy with the results of my flies using Tuffleye (Fly Tyer Magazine, Spring 2008. I do not tie saltwater flies, but have been amazed at how easy it is to make minnow heads, shell backs, and for other uses. While the initial cost is high, there is little waste. I have seen on some other sites some high brow comments, as if using Tuffleye is akin to the ancient debate of the dry fly purist over the nymph fisher. What do you think? Have you used it? What patterns have you used it on? In this age of synthetic materials, I do not see why we would hesitate using something which gives excellent results.
